Lurid dreaming,
Cast upon cinnamon swirled
Featureless dusk
Afterglow of an ember robust
Drapes softly
The twilight indigo
Into quiet nooks
Of velvet memory
As pizzicato bursts of static
Intermesh the Philomel
To mark with punctuation
A metronomes progression
The soft lit cascading
Celestial illumination
An ivory comb rests
In the shimmering
Ebony tresses
Of a lover returned.

Originally called "Nightfall" I chose the japanese word for "twilight" because that is also the name of the tune I've been working on all day, and this is kind of the feeling I get from it. hope it brings to mind a placid summer dusk.

it is rather pretty though some words i don't care for and seem a little forced. better than the usual DD poems
